Two-Spirit Basket

Description:

Made with pine needles and sinew. This basket was created to honor Two-Spirit and LGBTQ+ communities. Its medicine wheel centre reflects balance, strength, and spiritual connection, while the rainbow sinew woven throughout represents pride, unity, and diversity. Historically, Two-Spirit individuals are seen as sacred, gifted, and honored because they carry two spirits with them, both male and female. They were often healers, medicine people, and visionaries within their community because of their connection to both the masculine and feminine lens.
